Dr. Hannibal Lecter has been sentenced in the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane. FBI agent, Jack Crawford, asks agent Starling to interview him about serial killers.

Meanwhile, there is another serial killer dubbed “Buffalo Bill” who captures only overweight women, denies them food for about four days, kills them and disposes the bodies at unpredictable states. Hannibal is willing to help Starling find “Buffalo Bill” only if she tells him about her childhood and growing up as an orphan. He is promised to be taken out of the prison when he reveals the identity of the serial killer. Things get worse when the senator’s daughter is captured. The FBI knows that they only have exactly three days of finding “Buffalo Bill” before he could kill her.

The audio-book is worth of purchasing. If you can’t stand reading the book yourself then try this. The narration is quite good making the story flow as it has been written.
